Pich Sopheap at Centre Culturel Francais

Fragile
Sopheap Pich
Vernissage : jeudi 20 Mai, 19h
CCF

expositions, en Australie (Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art)
et aux États-Unis (Tyler Rollins Fine Art ).
Il présentera un panorama depuis ses débuts jusqu’à aujourd’hui ainsi
que son dernier projet en cours, une réflexion sur l’alphabet khmer,
source de débats et de discussions.

Big Swing News!

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow we are starting a *NEW BEGINNERS’ CYCLE! * That’s right! *NOW* is
the time to start lessons if you haven’t started yet, or* NOW* is the time
to review if you have missed a lot of classes due to late nights at the
office or tummy troubles. Newbie followers, please try your best to bring a
MAN. Yes, we are becoming desperate.

*Advanced Class* (for those who know how to swing out): *6:30-7:30*
*Beginners’ Cycle:* *7:30-8:30*
*Social Dance: 8:30-Bedtime at Equinox*

*HINT HINT*: All Leaders previously dedicated to PPPswings, we need you!!!
Please come back. Please. Also, Sarah, we need you, too!

We are continuing our dance classes at Celesta until Amrita is ready to let
us back in ( 2 more weeks)! Here is the address again:
Celesta Dance Studio
235B Street 19

The studio is on the west side of St. 19, between streets 264 and Suramarit
(268)…just up the street from the Pavilion Hotel and right next to Park
Palace, or something like that. The gate is green and it is directly across
from the Mekong Learning Center. Please remember to carry in your shoes for
class (no street shoes on the dance floor). It would be great if you could
let me know asap if you plan on coming or not tomorrow. THANKS!

And here’s for some other great swing news: There will be a HOT STRINGS JAZZ
BAND playing danceable tunes for us this Friday night at the Chinese House!
We have been invited by the fiddler, Mat, and he assures me that the band
will definitely cater to us. Now is our chance to recruit some more
newbies! Wear something vintage-inspired?!?!?! Who’s with me???

Well…hope to see you all this Thursday and Friday. Bring a friend. And
as always, we would love to see more male and more local dancers.

Cheers,
Robyn
