
Geoff completed his training in architecture in London in 1982 (PCL). After working with architectural practices for nine years he took a year-long break to take an MPhil degree (History and Philosophy of Architecture, University of Cambridge). Following this he set up Pyle Associates (architects and designers) in London in 1994. The practice built up a portfolio of projects, working with private and local government clients mainly on arts, residential, health and commercial projects.
In 2002, he established a branch office of the practice in Pakistan – then in early 2003 he moved to Cambodia where he established a new office, as well as carrying out research in modern architectural heritage, founding Khmer Architecture Tours. His current practice, Pyle Architects, is based in Phnom Penh. Clients include NGOs, international agencies and Government.
He has been a visiting lecturer and critic at a number of architectural schools in the UK, as well as teaching part-time at University College, London; he is currently a visiting critic at Nottingham Trent University. His prize-winning work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy, London. www.pyleassociates.net
